HELL AND BACK – 6 Weeks to Go
Nitty Gritty Time. I can’t believe that it is only 6 Weeks until Hell and Back. Just to remind everyone exactly what I will be going through check out the video below.
To be honest, the week of 2nd-9th May I didn’t do one day of exercise. It’s the first time since I started training for Hell and Back that this has happened and it was due to a few reasons. Back Injury, Busy work schedule and Lack of Focus. This will happen and don’t beat yourself up if it does. Sometimes you need a break from something to see if it is what you want to do. It was the best thing I could have done as the following week (9th-15th May) I trained every day except I only did what I loved doing. Below are a few things I got up to
- Calisthenics and BodyWeight Training – Press Ups, Pull Ups, Squats, Lunges, Assisted Pistol Squats, Handstands, Crow, Crow to Handstand, Dips,
- Plyometrics – Box Jumps, One Leg Box Jumps, Bounds
- Climbing – Anything I could find including trees and bridges
- Resistance Band Training
- Kettlebell Training
- Stability Ball Training
I didn’t set times, sets or reps for anything. I just trained and listened to my body and pushed it to the limit. To be honest this made me feel awesome and helped me enjoy my training so much. It has been a very long time since I couldn’ t wait to train.
Quite a short blog this week but thought I would just use it as spreading my message – Find what you enjoy doing and do it, if you don’t enjoy it change it. Simple.
